The 2025 Scarecrow Festival, run in conjunction with our neighbours at Branston and Washingborough parish councils, is coming to a street near you, between 22nd and 29th August.

We are aware of local flooding in Heighington as a result of Storm Henk. The beck has flooded in a number of places and some footpaths are inaccessible. Please take care when out and about.

Flood alert for minor watercourses from Heighington to Dunston
We have seen a band of rain fall in the Lower River Witham area today. This means that river levels are now rising, leading to flooding of low-lying land and roads close to the river and minor watercourses from Heighington to Dunston from the evening of Thursday, 7th December onwards.
