Policy and Resources Minutes July 2020
A meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee of Heighington Parish Council was held on Monday 27th July 2020 by video conferencing and commenced at 19.30. There was one member of the public in attendance.

1/R/20 Apologies for absence, Declarations of Interest and Requests for Dispensations.
Apologies were received from Councillor Briscoe, Councillor Sockell and Councillor Rushby.
2/R/20 To approve the Clerk’s notes as minutes from the last meeting of the committee.
It was resolved that the Clerks notes from the Policy and Resources Committee Meeting of the 20th April 2020 be approved.
3/R/20 Clerk’s Report (for information only.)
• Payment of VAT claim of £2683.20 was received on the 10th July 2020.
• £300.00 received from Lincolnshire County Council to obtain sanitising equipment for the Parish Council properties.
• To note that North Kesteven District Council have awarded the Parish Council a Heritage Grant of £1500.00 towards the costs of the Chapel Lane Gateway.
• To receive an update on S106. It was noted that negotiations were ongoing.
• To discuss re-opening of Parish Council properties. It was agreed that the designated working party would carry out a risk assessment of all the Parish Council properties as soon as possible.
Planning Matters and Tree Works.
Tree work applications for Members consultative comments (taking into account of any correspondence received from local residents).
4/R/20 20/0851/TCA The Granary, High Street, Heighington. T1 Magnolia – reduce to 12-15ft finished height, reduce to 10-12ft finished width. It was resolved to leave the matter to the Tree Protection Officers discretion.
Tree work Decision Notices received from North Kesteven District Council. There were no new Tree Work decision notices for consideration.

5/R/20 20/06221/LBC Stone House, Mill Lane, Heighington. Replace all existing windows.
Notification received from North Kesteven District Council that this application has been approved.
6/R/20 To acknowledge receipt of a donation from Heighington Bowls Club. Members would like to thank Heighington Bowls Club for their kind donation of £1700.00 towards the cost of works carried
out on the retaining wall surrounding the bowling green.
7/R/20 To Consider the revision of policies.

- It was agreed to recommend the policies for approval at the full Council meeting on the 14th September 2020.
